Satellites in 5G+ and Towards 6G

As Non-Terrestrial-Networks (NTN) and in particular satellites feature more strongly in 5G+ this presentation will first review the current and proposed satellite(GEO-MEO-LEO) landscape. Looking at the short term we will review 3GPP-NTN standards work and some recent satellite 5G implementations. Looking forward to 6G standardisation starting in 2025 we will review some of the key technologies that could drive this standardisation.
