This talk will report outcomes from the UK 6G flagship project REASON. The project is a large academia-industry collaboration funded by the UK Government’s Department of Science Innovation and Technology, aiming to define and test end-to-end open architectures for future mobile networks. The research is focusing on three pillars: (1) Multi-technology open access networks enabled by a multi-access technology real time intelligent controller (mATRIC), (2) Native AI solutions for end-to-end networking, enabled by AI orchestration and task oriented networking and (3) Promoting UK-born technologies and their role in realising future 6G networks.
